Within the framework of preparations for the Brussels meeting, the President of the Council of the European Union, Charles Michel, had a telephone conversation with the President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev.
On his X page, Michel wrote that he conveyed to Aliyev the EU’s commitment to the process of regulating Armenian-Azerbaijani relations.
“I reiterated the need for mutual respect of territorial integrity and sovereignty and progress towards border demarcation. I also emphasized the need to ensure the security and rights of Karabakh Armenians in the long term,” Michel wrote.
