The United States calls on Azerbaijan and Armenia to return to peace talks to discuss and resolve outstanding issues. Referring to the situation in Karabakh, the spokesperson of the US State Department said that Washington welcomes the UN mission to the Nagorno Karabakh region. “Azerbaijan guarantees that the rights of the Armenian residents of Karabakh will be protected,” he said.
