Today, March 1, a mysterious incident happened in Yerevan.
Around 10:05 p.m., the National Center for 9-11 Crisis Management of the Rescue Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Armenia received an alert that the residents of apartment 44 of building 26 on Soghomon Tarontsi Street have not responded to door knocks and phone calls for several days.
As photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan reports, 1 combat unit from Yerevan’s 4th fire-rescue squad arrived at the indicated address.
The patrols of the 3rd company of the 1st battalion of the Yerevan regiment of the RA Internal Affairs Police Patrol Service, headed by regiment commander Andranik Isakhanyan, battalion commander Aram Dadoyan, and company commander Gevorg Torosyan, also arrived.
The territory was demarcated by patrolmen Gegham Babayan and Samvel Hakobyan of the same company. The operative group of the Shengavit police department headed by the head of the department Andranik Shahbazyan arrived at the scene.
The rescuers opened the door of the house and found 2 bodies there. The team of Shengavit investigative department of the investigative department of the RA Investigative Committee of the Republic of Armenia, led by the head of the department and the duty investigator responsible for the day, arrived at the alarm.
C. According to Shamshyan, the dead are mother and daughter and they probably died a few days ago. Due to the fact of the incident, a criminal proceeding was initiated in the investigation department of Shengavit under the characteristics of “murder” (sudden death).
The apartment where the bodies were found was not equipped with gas, but the representatives of “Gazprom Armenia” Yerevan GGM and “Transgaz” also arrived at the scene. By the decision of the investigator, a forensic medical examination of the corpses was appointed and the identities of the dead are being ascertained.
