Bad news from Syunik marz
Russia will open a general consulate in Syunik, the Russian Embassy in Armenia informs.
A meeting was held in Meghri between the Russian Foreign Ministry, the head of the priority group for the opening of the Russian Consulate General in Kapan, and the mayor of Meghri.
The prospects of the early opening of the new Russian consular office in the Syunik region were discussed, which will significantly simplify the access to consular services for Russian citizens living in the south of Armenia.
The new general consulate will contribute to the further strengthening of Russian-Armenian relations and the stabilization of the situation in the region, as well as the expansion of cultural, humanitarian, commercial, economic and interregional cooperation, it is said in the message (emphasis added).
