Baku is ready to hold negotiations with Yerevan in Georgia, but for this, the agreement of Armenia is also necessary, President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, who left for Georgia on a working visit, announced yesterday in Tbilisi.

Prime Minister Irakli Gharibashvili expressed hope that the peace agreement between Azerbaijan and Armenia could soon become a reality.

“We fully agree that the peace agreement will contribute to the establishment of long-term peace in the South Caucasus, which will lead to prosperity for the peoples of the region. Georgia always maintains a neutral, impartial position in this process. We are ready to play our part by modestly contributing to the reconciliation process. Our future should be peaceful and stable, and we, the three countries of the South Caucasus, should be able to solve the problems of the region and our future development”, said Gharibashvili.
