21-year-old Joseph Azolyan, who died in the accident of a military “Ural” car on April 12 in the Meghri area, was drafted last year in June. In a conversation with NEWS.am, his sister, Taguhi Azolyan, said that Joseph came to Armenia from Russia specifically to do military service.
“We lived in Russia, Joseph really wanted servants, last year we came to Armenia so that he could serve. He was very satisfied with the service, he always said that he would get married after finishing the service.
In December, when he came on vacation, he got engaged, and he intended to get married after the service,” said his sister.
Joseph lived with his family in Yerevan after returning from Russia.
