“I was ready for it from day one, I knew it.” Vardanyan’s interview before being captured
Ruben Vardanyan, the former state minister of Artsakh, gave an interview to The Guardian a week before he was captured by Baku and said that he knew he would become a target for the Azerbaijani forces.
“This is life,” he said. “If you are ready to die for your country, that’s fine.
It’s bad, but you have to be prepared if you’re doing something important… the end of the story can be very bad.
And I was ready for it from the first day, I knew it,” said Vardanyan.
