What education do regional leaders have?
Academically educated, educated and wise leaders are a rare treasure for any nation. Of course, it is impossible to combine all these qualities in one person, and the leader of any country is not required to be a walking computer or a great specialist in all fields. But when we study the biographies and experience of various successful leaders of the advanced countries of the modern world, we come across similar characteristics, and the advanced societies especially promote people with good education and upbringing and put them in their leadership positions.
Through the information collected from open sources, we decided to present who is ruling in our region, what kind of leaders were chosen by Armenians, Georgians, Iranians, Azerbaijanis, and Turks.
And so:
Nikol Pashinyan – Prime Minister of Armenia. Born in 1975 on June 1, in the city of Ijevan. Graduated from Ijevan secondary school No. 1. 1991-95 studied at Yerevan State University. In his fifth year of graduation, he was expelled from YSU for political reasons (Pashinyan’s version, ed.).
Seyyed Ibrahim Raisi – President of the Islamic Republic of Iran. He was born in 1960. on December 14, in Iran. He received his primary education in one of the madrasahs in Mashhad. At the age of 15, in 1975, Raisi started studying in the madrasah in the city of Qum. After that, he also studied at Mahali Nawab School in Tehran, as well as at Ayatollah Sayyid Muhammad Mousavi-Nejad School. He has a doctorate degree in private law from Motahari University.
By the way, some Iranian mass media claim that there is no reliable source or evidence that would confirm the fact that Raisi received a secondary education. Journalists paid attention to Raisi’s biography on his election campaign website, which mentions only his primary education and does not say anything about his high school graduation. Raisi denied his lack of secondary education and stated that he has a doctorate degree in private law, which he received at Motahari University, but his statement also has no evidence and is disputed by his opponents and some opposition media.
Aliyev Ilham – President of Azerbaijan. was born in 1961 in Baku. Studied at secondary school No. 6 in Baku (1967-1977). In 1977, he entered the Moscow State Institute of International Relations. After graduation, he received post-graduate education at the institute. In 1985, he received the degree of Candidate of History and then Doctor of Political Science.
Irakli Gharibashvili – Prime Minister of Georgia. was born in 1982. In 1998-2002 he studied at Tbilisi State University. In 2004, he graduated from the Faculty of International Relations of the Sorbonne University in Paris.
Recep Tayyip Erdogan – President of Turkey. was born in 1954 on February 26 in Istanbul. In 1965, Erdoğan graduated from Piale Pasha Elementary School, and in 1973, from Imam Khatibov Religious School in Istanbul. He received his diploma by passing final exams at Eyup College.
