Today, May 27, a tragic car accident took place in Kotayk region.

Volkswagen and VAZ 2106 cars collided on the 8th km section of the Garni-Artashat highway around 09:00.

As photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan reports from the scene, as a result of the accident, 1 person died on the spot, 7 people were taken to different hospitals in Abovyan and Yerevan with physical injuries of varying degrees.

Citizens and patrolmen of the Kotayk Marz Battalion of the Police Patrol Service of the RA Ministry of Internal Affairs were the first to help the injured.
